Just 3 km north-east of Primorsko, on the ridge of Maslen Nos where Strandzha embraces the coast, hides the megalithic rock sanctuary of Beglik Tash. It is the largest mark the Thracians left on the southern Black Sea coast, and science only learned of it in 2003.
Even someone who trusts only exact science cannot deny that the ancient sanctuary has an energy of its own.

It is believed that only a person with a pure soul can pass “the path of trial”, a labyrinth of rock corridors. Whoever reaches the end and walks out feels charged with positive energy, leaving behind the negative emotions they carried. But will everyone dare to take the path of the soul’s cleansing?
One legend says these very corridors are the road to the kingdom of Hades. It is said that the Thracian singer Orpheus walked through the labyrinth to save his beloved from the underworld. Treasure hunters, for their part, tell of a great fortune buried here.

The name is curious too: in Turkish “beglik” means tax and “tash” means stone. Under Ottoman rule Bulgarians paid taxes in livestock and handed the animals over right here. It is said that even the Turks felt the unusual power of the place and did not dare raise a hand against the Bulgarians.

Among the other strange stones, right on the shore stands a rock split into three parts. There is no mountain nearby from which such a huge block could have fallen, and the cuts look laser-precise. A plain fall and break would never leave such smooth faces.
Love and be loved.
